Apple Turnovers
3C apple pie filling
2C flour
1C cream cheese
3/4C butter
1/4tsp sea salt
sugar glaze
Preheat oven to 425F and lightly grease a cookie sheet. In a large bowl stir together flour and sea salt, then cut
in cream cheese and butter; mix well. Form pastry into a ball (add water if needed to hold it together), roll out flat
on a floured surface, then shape into a large square and cut into 16 smaller squares. Divide apple pie filling equally
between pastry squares and spread over top of each. Moisten the edges of each square pastry and fold over to form triangles,
then press edges with a fork dipped in flour and pierce tops once or twice to vent. Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden brown;
let cool. Drizzle sugar glaze over tops of
turnovers and serve warm.
