The following whole food recipes are principally vegetarian, although ingredients can always be added or
substituted to make them vegan, or even non-vegetarian. (See
pantry basics for information
on customizing these and other recipes to suit your needs).

Sweet & Sour Sauce
1/3C vinegar
1/4C sugar
1tbsp ketchup
1tbsp starch
1tsp soy sauce
1tsp minced garlic
1tsp sunflower seed oil
1/4tsp powdered ginger
Mix starch with 2tbsp warm water and stir until dissolved; set aside. Combine other ingredients in a saucepan,
mix together and bring to a boil. Add starch and water mixture, then stir until sauce thickens.
