The following whole food recipes are principally vegetarian, although ingredients can always be added or
substituted to make them vegan, or even non-vegetarian. (See
pantry basics for information
on customizing these and other recipes to suit your needs).

Spaghetti Sauce
4C veggie burger
2C tomato sauce
1 chopped onion
1 chopped bell pepper
2 chopped tomatoes
1C sliced mushrooms
4 cloves minced garlic
3tbsp oregano
2tbsp basil
1tbsp thyme
2tsp brown sugar
1tsp garlic powder
1tsp sea salt
Cook and crumble veggie burger, then set aside. Saute garlic, bell pepper and onions in oil 5-10 minutes or until
onions are clear. Combine all ingredients in a large pot and simmer 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally; remove from
heat.
* May use hamburger instead of veggie burger
