The following whole food recipes are principally vegetarian, although ingredients can always be added or substituted to make them vegan, or even non-vegetarian. (See below for information on customizing these and other recipes to suit your needs).

Non-Dairy Sour Cream
2C walnuts
1C non-dairy milk
1/4C lemon juice
1/4C non-dairy yogurt
1/2tsp sea salt
1/4tsp onion powder
pinch of garlic powder

Soak walnuts in water overnight; strain out water, rinse and drain. Puree ingredients in a blender, then put into a bowl and cover with a cloth. Let sit 1-3 hours or until mixture begins tasting sour (due to fermentation). Blend again, store in sealed containers and refrigerate.
