Recipes

The following whole food recipes are principally vegetarian, although ingredients can always be added or substituted to make them vegan, or even non-vegetarian. (See pantry basics for information on customizing these and other recipes to suit your needs).

Refried Beans
1/3C cooked soybeans
1/3C cooked kidney beans
1/3C cooked pinto beans
2-3 large chopped onions
2-3 chopped bell peppers
4-6 garlic cloves
1tbsp chili peppers
1tsp sea salt
1/2tsp pepper

Saute veggies in oil for 5 minutes or until onions are clear; set aside. Cover beans in water and simmer over medium heat 2-4hrs, adding water if necessary; drain the beans and puree all ingredients in a blender.
