The following whole food recipes are principally vegetarian, although ingredients can always be added or substituted to make them vegan, or even non-vegetarian. (See below for information on customizing these and other recipes to suit your needs).

Calcium Carbonate baking soda contains sodium carbonate as well as toxic dyes and chemicals; calcium carbonate powder is a natural healthy substitute for baking soda; best sources of calcium carbonate are derived from animal shells, chalk or calcite (avoid calcium carbonate derived from limestone or marble because these sources often contain aluminum); for best leavening results combine with dry ingredients first, then beat, cream or whip air into batters and quickly place into a preheated oven
Cheeses cheddar cheese unless specified otherwise; may use vegan cheeses instead
Cocoa cocoa or carob powder; may use interchangeably
Fajita Mix 3tbsp starch, 2tbsp chili powder, 1tbsp sea salt, 1tbsp paprika, 1tbsp sugar, 1 1/2tsp onion powder, 1/2tsp garlic powder, 1/2tsp cumin and 1/4tsp red pepper combined
Flour all-purpose flour or home ground flour blend
Ice Cream may use non-dairy ice cream instead
Italian Seasoning equal parts 3tbsp oregano, 2tbsp basil, 1tbsp thyme, 1tsp garlic powder and 1/2tsp rosemary (optional) combined
Mayonnaise may use vegan mayonnaise instead
Milk may use non-dairy milk instead
Oil cold-pressed plant oils, preferably walnut oil unless specified otherwise; see vegan body soap (under "fats and oils") for instructions on cold-pressing nut and seed oils
Peanut Butter may use other nut or seed butters instead
Powdered Sugar pineapple powder may be used instead
Pumpkin Pie Spice 4tsp cinnamon, 2tsp ginger, 1tsp nutmeg, 1/2tsp allspice and 1/4tsp powdered cloves combined
Rosehip Powder combined with equal parts calcium carbonate powder and used as a substitute for baking powder; for best leavening results combine with dry ingredients first, then beat, cream or whip air into batters and quickly place into a preheated oven; to store for later use, add 1 part starch per 4 parts calcium carbonate and rosehip powders (combined)
Sea Salt Table salt contains about 98% sodium chloride and 2% chemicals; unrefined celtic sea salt contains about 98% sodium chloride, 2% other minerals and can be used instead of table salt; (see salt substitutes for additional alternatives)
Sour Cream may use as a substitute for eggs (1/4C sour cream per egg); may use non-dairy sour cream instead
Starch corn or potato starch; 2tbsp flour or apple pectin may be used for each tablespoon of starch; starch or pectin may also be used as a substitute for gelatin
Sugar white sugar or substitute unless specified otherwise
Taco Seasoning 1tbsp chili powder, 2tsp onion powder, 1tsp garlic powder, 1tsp cumin, 1tsp paprika, 1tsp sea salt, 1tsp starch, 1/2tsp oregano, 1/2tsp red pepper flakes
Veggie Burger may be used as a substitute for hamburger
Vinegar white or apple cider vinegar
Whipped Cream may use non-dairy whipped cream instead
White Sugar apple powder may be used instead (see sugar substitutes for additional alternatives)
Yogurt may use as a substitute for eggs (1/4C yogurt per egg) or for milk cream; may use non-dairy yogurt instead
