The following whole food recipes are principally vegetarian, although ingredients can always be added or substituted to make them vegan, or even non-vegetarian. (See pantry basics for information on customizing these and other recipes to suit your needs).

Peanut Butter Cookies
1 1/2C flour
1C peanut butter
1/2C butter
1/2C white sugar
1/2C brown sugar
1/4C plain yogurt
1tsp vanilla extract
1/4tsp rosehip powder
1/4tsp calcium carbonate
1/4tsp sea salt

Preheat oven to 325F. Cream butter, peanut butter and sugars, then mix in wet ingredients. Mix dry ingredients separately, then combine and mix all together. Divide dough in half, roll into cylinders in waxed paper and refrigerate overnight. Remove dough from waxed paper and drop by spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet 2" apart. Flatten cookies slightly with a fork dipped in flour, then bake 10-15 minutes or until lightly browned.

* May also add 1/2C chopped peanuts
