The following whole food recipes are principally vegetarian, although ingredients can always be added or substituted to make them vegan, or even non-vegetarian. (See pantry basics for information on customizing these and other recipes to suit your needs).

Oatmeal Cookies
3C rolled oats or barley
1C flour
1/2C butter
1/2C white sugar
1/2C brown sugar
1/2C plain yogurt or sour cream
1/2C chocolate chips (optional)
1/2C chopped nuts (optional)
1/2C raisins (optional)
2tbsp honey
2tbsp milk
1tsp cinnamon
1tsp vanilla extract
1/4tsp rosehip powder
1 1/4tsp calcium carbonate powder
1/2tsp sea salt
1/4tsp nutmeg
pinch of allspice

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugars, then mix in wet ingredients. Separately mix together dry ingredients, then mix all together in a large bowl. Drop by spoonfuls 2" apart on cookie sheets, flatten slightly and bake 10-15 minutes or until lightly browned.
