The following whole food recipes are principally vegetarian, although ingredients can always be added or
substituted to make them vegan, or even non-vegetarian. (See below for information on customizing these
and other recipes to suit your needs).

Nut or Seed Butters
1 1/2C sunflower seeds
1C flax seeds
1/2C oil
1tsp sea salt
Puree ingredients in a blender until creamy and smooth; store in sealed containers in a dark, cool place.
If oils separate and rise to the top of the nut or seed butter, simply stir with a fork before use or pour
off oils and reuse for other purposes.
* Any nuts or seeds may be used, but this combination provides the correct ratio of essential fatty acids
(EFA); walnuts also contain the correct ratio of EFA, so they may be used instead of sunflower and flax seeds.

* Note: some of the recipes have not been tested, as they were either obtained from memory (without measuring),
from website visitors or other outside sources. If you find that another way works better, have comments, suggestions,
or your own recipes that you would like to submit, feel free to email us.
