The following whole food recipes are principally vegetarian, although ingredients can always be added or substituted to make them vegan, or even non-vegetarian. (See pantry basics for information on customizing these and other recipes to suit your needs).

Mashed Potatoes
1/2C milk
1/4C butter
sea salt and pepper to taste
8 potatoes, skinned and cut into chunks

Boil potatoes until they nearly fall apart (about 20 minutes). Strain out water and mash potatoes; then mix in butter, milk, sea salt and pepper; top with white gravy.


For Sour Cream & Onion Flavor: mix in 1/4C sour cream, 2tbsp ranch dressing, 2tbsp minced green onions and 1tbsp dill weed.
