The following whole food recipes are principally vegetarian, although ingredients can always be added or substituted to make them vegan, or even non-vegetarian. (See pantry basics for information on customizing these and other recipes to suit your needs).

Herbal Teas
Cover 1tbsp dried, coarsely ground herb (leaves and/or flowers) with 2C boiling water and steep 5 minutes. Strain out herbs, add sugar or honey to taste and drink hot, or bottle and refrigerate for iced tea.


For Herbal Detox Tea: use equal parts brier rose (hips), mullein and peppermint; use honey, glycerin or other sugar substitute to sweeten
