Recipes

The following whole food recipes are principally vegetarian, although ingredients can always be added or substituted to make them vegan, or even non-vegetarian. (See pantry basics for information on customizing these and other recipes to suit your needs).

Hot Chocolate
4C milk
1/2C water
1/2C sugar
1/2C cocoa or carob powder
1tsp vanilla extract
1/4tsp sea salt
pinch of cinnamon (optional)
whipped cream (optional)

Combine water, sugar, cocoa or carob powder and sea salt in a medium saucepan; stir over medium heat 3-5 minutes or until dissolved. Add milk and stir constantly until hot, then remove from heat and mix in vanilla extract; top with a pinch of cinnamon and/or whipped cream (optional).
