The following whole food recipes are principally vegetarian, although ingredients can always be added or
substituted to make them vegan, or even non-vegetarian. (See
pantry basics for information
on customizing these and other recipes to suit your needs).

Fruit Syrup
2C fruit juice
1C sugar
1tsp starch
In a saucepan over medium heat, bring fruit juice to a boil. Reduce heat, add sugar and starch, then simmer and
stir 10-15 minutes or until the syrup thickens; remove from heat, bottle and refrigerate.
