The following whole food recipes are principally vegetarian, although ingredients can always be added or
substituted to make them vegan, or even non-vegetarian. (See
pantry basics for information
on customizing these and other recipes to suit your needs).

Fruit Preserves
1C water
1C sugar
2C chosen fruit
1tbsp starch
1 tsp rosehip powder
Mash or puree fruit to desired consistency and set aside. Bring water to a boil; add sugar, starch and rosehip
powder, then stir until dissolved. Add fruit and boil over low heat 10-15 minutes or until thickened; remove from
heat, bottle and refrigerate.
For Orange Marmalade: use peeled oranges, only 1/2C water, and add pureed rind of one orange (thinly peeled)
