The following whole food recipes are principally vegetarian, although ingredients can always be added or
substituted to make them vegan, or even non-vegetarian. (See
pantry basics for information
on customizing these and other recipes to suit your needs).

Cheese Sauce
3C grated cheddar cheese
2C milk
2tbsp butter
1tbsp flour
1tsp sea salt
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and mix in flour. Add milk and sea salt, stirring constantly until it
begins to boil. Reduce heat, stir and simmer 10-15 minutes or until sauce thickens; add cheese and stir until sauce
is creamy.
* For Nacho Sauce: before adding the cheese stir in 3C
salsa, 1/4C diced green bell pepper,
1/4C diced red bell pepper, 2 minced green onions, 1/4tsp Tabasco sauce, 1/4tsp paprika and a pinch of cayenne pepper
