The following whole food recipes are principally vegetarian, although ingredients can always be added or substituted to make them vegan, or even non-vegetarian. (See pantry basics for information on customizing these and other recipes to suit your needs).

Chocolate Chip Cookies
4C flour
1C butter
1 1/2C chocolate or carob chips
1 1/4C white sugar
1 1/4C brown sugar
1/2C vanilla yogurt
2tsp vanilla extract
1/2tsp rosehip powder
1/2tsp calcium carbonate powder
1/2tsp sea salt

Preheat oven to 325F. Mix wet and dry ingredients separately, then combine and mix together. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets about 2" apart and bake 7-10 minutes or until lightly browned.

* M&Ms, butterscotch or nut/seed butter chips can be used instead of or in addition to chocolate or carob chips; 1C chopped nuts may also be added
