The following whole food recipes are principally vegetarian, although ingredients can always be added or substituted to make them vegan, or even non-vegetarian. (See pantry basics for information on customizing these and other recipes to suit your needs).

Chocolate Chips
1 1/2C chocolate syrup
1/2C honey
1/4C milk
1tbsp butter

Melt honey and butter in a saucepan over low heat, then add milk and stir together until completely melted. Stir in chocolate syrup and bring to a boil; reduce heat and mix well. Drop pea sized globs onto waxed paper and let cool; freeze or refrigerate.


For Butterscotch Chips: use butterscotch syrup instead of chocolate syrup

For Nut/Seed Butter Chips: use nut/seed butter syrup instead of chocolate syrup
