The following whole food recipes are principally vegetarian, although ingredients can always be added or substituted to make them vegan, or even non-vegetarian. (See pantry basics for information on customizing these and other recipes to suit your needs).

Bean & Pasta Salad
1C cooked macaroni noodles
3/4C cooked beans
1/2 diced red bell pepper
1/2 chopped onion
1/2 chopped tomato
1/4C sliced mushrooms
1/4C sliced olives
2tbsp lemon juice
2tbsp dill weed
2tbsp oil
1tbsp vinegar
1tsp pepper
1/2tsp sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme and basil (each)

In a large bowl mix together lemon juice, dill weed, oil, vinegar, pepper, sea salt and spices. Stir in remaining ingredients and refrigerate overnight before serving.
