The following whole food recipes are principally vegetarian, although ingredients can always be added or substituted to make them vegan, or even non-vegetarian. (See pantry basics for information on customizing these and other recipes to suit your needs).

Broccoli Cheese Chowder
5C cheese sauce
2C chopped broccoli
2 stalks diced celery
6 diced potatoes
1/2 diced onion
2tsp sea salt
1tsp garlic powder
1/2tsp pepper
few drops tabasco sauce

In a large pot, cover potatoes with water and boil until almost tender. Mash some of the cooked potatoes into mush, then mix in remaining ingredients. Reduce heat and simmer 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally; remove from heat.


For Potato Chowder: replace cheese sauce with white gravy and broccoli with corn; no tabasco sauce
