Detoxification (continued - p3 of 3)

After ten full days of detoxification, begin to establish (or re-establish) healthy eating habits with a nutritionally balanced, whole foods diet. This is also a good time to start (or resume) the application of other health factors of homeostasis, and for reducing toxins in the home, as well as those you may be adding to the environment:

Use full spectrum and/or solar lighting

Filter and distill water before use or consumption

Grow at least a few plants indoors to help purify the air inside

Replace aluminum or Teflon coated cookware with stainless steel cookware

If you have a microwave, you might consider replacing it with a convection oven

Wear clothes/use fabrics made of natural fibers such as silk, cotton, linen or hemp

Don't use chemical pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers for gardens; grow organic

Buy and use non toxic cleaning and personal hygiene products (or make your own)

Wash fruits and veggies (even if organic) with apple cider vinegar or lemon juice and water (soak in 1/4C vinegar or lemon juice per gallon of water for a few minutes, then wash well in filtered, distilled water) before consumption

Replace other toxins in the home such as asbestos, particle board, toxic carpets, insulation, paints, dyes, combustion heating and cooking appliances, aluminum and aluminum foils, ammonia, vinyl flooring, chemicals (including chemical versions of chloride and fluoride), non-sustainable refrigerators and freezers, petroleum products, etc. with environmentally friendly and sustainable alternatives
